| General contractor | An organization or individual that contracts with another organization or individual (the owner) for the construction of a building, road or other facility. A general contractor usually is responsible for the supplying of all material, labor equipment and services necessary for the construction of the project. To do this it is common for the general contractor to subcontract part of the work to other persons and companies that specialize in these types of work. These are called "subcontractors". |

Gross Domestic Product (GDP), is one of several measures of a region's size of it's economy. The GDP of a country is defined as the market value of all final goods and services produced within a country in a given period of time. It is also considered the sum of value added at every stage of production of all final goods and services produced within a country in a given period of time. |
